I’m all about learning about success. I’ve been studying successful people since 1992 when I started practicing in Pasadena at Budincich Chiropractic.

My first mentor Dr. Michael Budincich told me the first day I met him that, “success is when preparation meets opportunity.” That has always stuck with me because it is so true!

I have always wondered why some people are successful and others struggle. I have discovered that a huge influence on success is the habits one has.

This has been the focus of my study, the habits of successful people. This blog will talk about what those habits are and how they can be developed.

Timing is everything. In preparing to write this blog I was formulating what could I share. I was given a book by Dan Sullivan titled, “How The Best Get Better.” It talks a lot about habits.

I wanted to share with you four habits from that book that will help you be attractive to clients. In fact these habits can help you in all areas of your life to make you trusted and respected.

According to Dan Sullivan one of the best ways to build a practice is to be referable. This means that your clients and customers are introducing you to those like themselves or better than themselves.

This referability depends on four crucial habits. They are:

  • Show up on time
  • Do what you say
  • Finish what you start
  • Say please and thank you

These may seem like common sense however in today’s world common sense in not so common.
You can practice these habits daily in all areas of your life and you will create a trust in others that will want them to help you be successful. By showing people respect and appreciation you will set yourself apart from the mediocrity that is so prevalent in business and life today.

Four simple habits. Start today and create something great!
